When a filing matching your criteria is published, it sends a summary to your Telegram or Slack channel via Clawdbot, so you can stay informed without constant manual checking. This ensures you never miss crucial financial updates or regulatory announcements from companies you track.
This workflow utilizes a `watchlist.json` file where you define the specific tickers (company symbols) and form types (e.g., 10-K, 8-K) you want to monitor. The script checks EDGAR periodically, and when a new filing is detected, it leverages Clawdbot to fetch, summarize, and relay the information to your preferred messaging platform. The watcher can be configured to run on a schedule using cron or LaunchAgents.
